A New Era for Loky: Juhár Confirmed as Head Coach, Pačinda Returns as Key Spring Signing
FC Lokomotíva Košice brings exciting news to fans ahead of the winter training period.
Martin Juhár, who joined the club in early 2024, has been confirmed as the head coach for the upcoming spring season. The new leadership has expressed full confidence in him, tasking him with preparing the winter training program, which will include several matches against international opponents.
Juhár originally joined Loky as an assistant to coach Milan Lalkovič, but his dedication, professionalism, and ability to energise the squad gradually elevated him into the head coach position. After a temporary coaching role swap during the autumn, he has now remained the head coach permanently.
Milan Lalkovič stays in the club and is expected to take over one of the youth teams in spring.
First signing: Erik Pačinda returns home
The biggest reinforcement for the spring 2025/26 season is the return of Erik Pačinda.
The 36-year-old forward began his football journey at Lokomotíva Košice, and after years of playing in Slovakia and abroad, he returns to become one of the leaders of the new team.
Head coach Juhár shared his thoughts:
“Erik needs no special introduction. His numbers and performances speak for themselves. From the moment I was trusted to lead the team, I knew we had to bring him in for the spring. He will be a cornerstone of Loky’s new era.”
Pačinda’s transfer was completed in cooperation with the new general manager Július Rezeš — a clear sign that Loky is moving in the right direction and building a squad with quality and character.
A strong signal for what comes next
According to Juhár, Pačinda’s arrival could attract more notable names:
“I believe this is just the beginning. With Mr. Rezeš we share the same football vision, and we want to continue strengthening the squad.”
With these changes, Loky enters the winter preparation phase with a strong identity, renewed energy, and personalities capable of lifting the club to a higher level.
Let’s go Loky!
