Lokomotiva enters the 2026/27 campaign with a 22-man squad and ten new arrivals
FC Lokomotiva Košice has confirmed its current first-team squad ahead of the 2026/27 season. Loky enters the new campaign with 22 players – two goalkeepers, six defenders, eight midfielders and six forwards.
Ten new players have joined the squad during the summer: Martin Leško, Frederik Spišák, Boris Gáll, Jakub Škovran, Asher Ozuzu, Ogi Jankelić, Tomáš Handlovič, Dávid Halčišák, Jakub Mičian and Milan Polča.
Ten new faces at Loky
Goalkeeper Martin Leško, 28, returns to familiar surroundings following his spell with Slávia TU Košice. He is joined by 25-year-old Frederik Spišák from TJ Dvorníky-Včeláre.
The defence has been strengthened by experienced 32-year-old Boris Gáll, arriving from FC Tatran Prešov, and 20-year-old Croatian defender Ogi Jankelić from MFK Dukla Banská Bystrica. Nineteen-year-old defenders Tomáš Handlovič and Jakub Mičian have both joined on loan from FC Košice.
Two more young FC Košice players strengthen the midfield. Dávid Halčišák, 18, and Milan Polča, 19, both arrive on loan.
In attack, 26-year-old Jakub Škovran joins on loan from FK Čaňa, while 21-year-old American forward Asher Ozuzu arrives from Minneapolis City SC.
Changes in the squad
The summer rebuild also means a number of players have departed.
Oskar Reštei, Jakub Janočko, Matej Drábik, Alex Šefčík, Ayomide Akiode, Niko Paris, Dominik Veselý, Adam Bučko, Lukáš Petrík and Alex Mihók will not continue with Lokomotiva for the new campaign.
The club will make decisions regarding loan moves for Alex Smolák and Merdan Aličkovič at a later stage.

General Manager Július Rezeš and Head Coach Miroslav Guza have overseen the formation of the squad for the 2026/27 campaign. Work on building the team began at the start of the year, alongside the club’s continued efforts to provide the best possible environment for its players.
